What makes us determined? If you were to look up the definition of self-determination it would say, “The idea of a positive freedom, a freedom for actions that we originate, and that actions are “up to us.” The feeling of being determined is unlike that of any other as it can be the fortitude we need to make any of our dreams come true.
If you feel that propeller of ambition and drive within you, it’s probably determination rising to the occasion of whatever you are facing. Determination is a force to be reckoned with as sometimes it does not even compare to the amount of talent or skill you may have, but just the fight it has you put up to beat the odds. If you have enough of it, determination may even be disguised to act like genuine talent. Confidence is also the complimentary counterpart to determination’s ambitious path. This pair makes an unbeatable team and pretty much are the key ingredients to success!
The good thing about achieving determination is there usually is no regret that will follow. I like to even consider it the mind’s untapped super power. However, determination is most beneficial when you work towards something you have a knack for. You could try being determined to be a mathematician, but if math isn’t your forte or let alone interest, solely being determined to do so may lead you to a dead end. It’s usually best to apply determination towards a subject you have an aptitude for.
The greatest gift determination can bring is the highest possibility to receive exactly what it is that you want. Sometimes, this characteristic can be found more in certain people rather than others as it usually is an inborn trait. As we mentioned before, confidence is the fuel to determination’s fire and will create the biggest sense of accomplishment by having you only wanting to achieve more.
